Clothes are an extension of the skin. Clothes can be many things; a shield, weapon, mood, attitude, or practical layer that protects the body. A visual image of how we appear to the environment. But what happens if you are in the middle of finding your identity and have doubts about how others read you? So what should you wear?
Alex can no longer recognize himself in the mirror and is in the middle of a huge clothing crisis. A crisis that has gradually spread far beyond the wardrobe. One day, Alex meets flamboyant drag queen Sylvia Starlight, who takes them on a journey of self-expression. Through performances and flashbacks, they meet their best friend Benjamin from class and Rita from the charter holiday, both of whom have great significance for Alex's development and journey of discovery.
A story about being young and searching for your identity. Your own interpretation of what you want to express to the world. About the journey to self-discovery by expressing one's inner self through the outer and about doing away with society's norms and prejudices in relation to how we express our gender.
The performance focuses on gender identity, gender expression and a young generation that challenges the norms.
