roots
“Roots” is based on the award-winning and critically acclaimed book "Du är rötterna som sover vid mina fötter och håller jorden på plats" (You are the roots that sleep beneath my feet and hold the earth in place) by the Swedish author Eli Levén.
The story portrays the young Sebastian, who seeks the boundaryless, lives an exposed and heavily loaded life. Sebastian goes through a transition throughout the story and develops an interiour growing identity as the young and brave Ellie. He meets Andreas and they form a relationship which takes many loving and hard turns.
It’s a modern interpretation on the myth of Saint Sebastian, a story about love and identity, for people living in between.
In between dream and reality, in between love and hate, in between shame and desire, in between Ellie and Sebastian.
